Selah's Safe Haven Inc. was founded on a simple belief — that every family deserves a place to pause before they can move forward.
In Scripture, "Selah" is a call to pause — to sit with what's true before moving forward. That's exactly what we offer families who walk through our doors: a moment to stop running, breathe, and be met with grace instead of judgment.
We started this work because too many families face grief, autism diagnoses, financial strain, and isolation without anyone beside them. Selah's Safe Haven exists to be that someone.
Selah's Safe Haven Inc. was founded on October 23, 2023, by Sanaya Solenai with a vision to create safe spaces for healing, encouragement, emotional support, and community connection.
Inspired by the legacy of her late grandmother, Alberta Heard, Sanaya created Selah's Safe Haven to continue a life rooted in compassion, strength, and helping others through difficult seasons.
What began as a calling to support individuals and families has grown into a mission centered on hope, restoration, emotional wellness, mentorship, and creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and valued.
"Her love, strength, and legacy continue to inspire this mission every single day."
Selah's Safe Haven was created with a vision far greater than one conversation or one moment of support.
Expanded programs and events that reach further into our community with resources and support.
One-on-one and group mentorship for individuals and families navigating hard seasons.
A dedicated shelter and healing space for those in need — the next chapter of our mission.
We serve from a place of faith, offering hope and prayer to those who welcome it, alongside every family regardless of belief.
No family is turned away for where they are in their journey. We meet people without judgment, every time.
Healing isn't one-size-fits-all. We support parents, children, and caregivers as a whole unit.
Especially for autism families, we lead with education and understanding, not stigma.
We believe families heal best when they know they aren't walking alone.
Encouragement paired with real resources — because hope needs a next step.
Through encouragement, healing, autism awareness, family support, and resource connection, we help families find steady ground again.
"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."Matthew 11:28
